Privacy Policy di Playerz

Ultimo aggiornamento: 25 ottobre 2026

Playerz è attualmente in fase beta.

In breve

1. Titolare del trattamento

Il titolare del trattamento è:

Roberto Castagna
Indirizzo: Viale Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 10 — Como — 22100 — IT
Email privacy: [email protected]
Sito web: https://playplayerz.app

2. Dati trattati

Playerz tratta soltanto i dati necessari alle funzionalità utilizzate dall'utente.

2.1 Dati di registrazione e autenticazione

Possiamo trattare:

2.2 Profilo sportivo e dati sociali

2.3 Squadre, community, eventi e tornei

Possiamo trattare dati relativi a:

2.5 Foto, video, audio e file

2.6 Luoghi e posizione

Playerz tratta indirizzi, città, impianti sportivi e coordinate associate a squadre o eventi per mostrare luoghi, mappe e contenuti geograficamente pertinenti.

2.7 Dati tecnici, sicurezza e diagnostica

Possiamo trattare:

Alcune funzioni possono inoltre utilizzare:

In particolare:

Come.

In quanto tempo.

15. Modifiche all'informativa

Playerz Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This notice describes how Playerz processes the personal data of users of the Playerz app, the playplayerz.app website and related services (together, the Service), pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Italian law.

Playerz is currently in beta. The features and processing described may change during development; in that case this notice and, where necessary, consent requests will be updated before the new processing begins.

In short

1. Data controller

The data controller is:

Roberto Castagna
Address: Viale Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 10 — Como — 22100 — IT
Privacy email: [email protected]
Website: https://playplayerz.app

No Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been appointed. Should one be appointed, their contact details will be published in this section.

2. Data processed

Playerz processes only the data necessary for the features you use.

2.1 Registration and authentication data

We may process:

Passwords, where used, are handled by the Firebase Authentication service and are not accessible to Playerz in plain text.

2.2 Sports profile and social data

Depending on the information you enter and the features you use, we may process:

Date of birth and email address are not intended to be shown publicly.

2.3 Teams, communities, events and tournaments

We may process data relating to:

Some profile, team, community, event and results pages, and their sharing previews, may be accessible via web links and may show the information indicated in the interface at the time of publication or sharing. You should check carefully what content you are making available.

2.4 Messages and communications between users

Playerz may process:

Messages may be subject to automated checks to detect offensive or unlawful content, spam or abuse, as described in section 5.

2.5 Photos, videos, audio and files

When you choose to upload them, we may process:

Playerz does not request indiscriminate access to your media library: content is processed when you select it or capture it through the app's features.

You must upload only content you are lawfully entitled to share and must respect the rights of the people depicted, with particular attention to minors. Unlawful or harmful content may be removed or restricted.

2.6 Places and location

Playerz processes addresses, cities, sports facilities and coordinates associated with teams or events in order to show places, maps and geographically relevant content.

Where a feature requires the device location, access occurs only after your action and the permission required by the operating system. Playerz does not carry out continuous background location tracking.

2.7 Technical, security and diagnostic data

We may process:

Notifications are sent only after device permission is granted and can be turned off from the operating system or app settings.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Data and processing Purpose Legal basis
Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase) Understanding how the app is used and improving it; no advertising use Legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
Email requested for the verdict notice Sending a single email when the ratings of the voted match are published User request (performance of the contract)
Account, email and authentication Creating and managing the account Performance of the contract or pre-contractual measures requested by the user
Date of birth Checking the minimum age (16) and protecting minors outside the app; age bands in rankings Performance of the contract and legal obligation (Art. 8 GDPR, Art. 2-quinquies Italian Privacy Code)
Profile, teams, communities, events, chats, ratings and content Providing the requested features and enabling interaction between users Performance of the contract
Cards ("figurine") of players without an account: label, shirt number, role, matches, ratings and comments received Completing the line-up and report cards of a match; letting the person find their ratings Legitimate interest of the participants and of the person concerned, with the safeguards of section 14-bis
Publishing and sharing profiles or content Making content available according to the user's choice Performance of the contract; consent where required by the nature of the data or by applicable law
Places and device location Search, maps and requested geographic features Performance of the service and, where required, consent
Push notifications Communicating invitations, events, votes and relevant activity Performance of the service; consent where required
Logs, Crashlytics, protection of the service Security, diagnostics, fraud and abuse prevention Legitimate interest of the controller in protecting and improving the Service
Moderation of messages and content Preventing unlawful or offensive content, spam and risks to users Legitimate interest in platform safety and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations
Handling privacy requests, disputes and authorities Complying with obligations and defending rights Legal obligation and legitimate interest in defending legal claims

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. Provision of data

Data marked as mandatory in the app is necessary to create an account or provide the requested feature. Failure to provide it may make registration or the use of that feature impossible.

Photos, biography, media content, device location and notifications are optional, except where they are essential for a specific feature you have chosen. Refusing a permission does not prevent the use of other features that do not require it.

5. Moderation, automated processing and artificial intelligence

Playerz uses automated processing to calculate statistics, averages, rankings, awards and sporting suggestions based on the activities, events and votes present in the Service. These results are for informational, recreational and sporting purposes and produce no legal effects nor similarly significant decisions about the user.

Some features may also use:

When those features are used, strictly necessary content may be transmitted to the relevant provider in order to produce the requested result or perform the check. You should not include in content intended for those features any unnecessary personal data, health data or other particularly sensitive information.

Automated results may be inaccurate. Playerz may apply technical or human checks and allows errors, content or assessments to be reported through the channels indicated in the app or at the privacy email address.

6. Visibility and sharing with other users

The social nature of Playerz requires certain information to be visible to other users, for example display name, photo, sporting role, team, event participation, content, reactions, ratings, statistics and rankings.

Some information may also be made accessible through shareable web pages or previews. Not intended for publication are the email address, date of birth, notification tokens, diagnostic data and the other data indicated as private in the app.

Public search on the website. Some of this content is not only reachable by whoever holds the link: it is also searchable by anyone on playplayerz.app, and those pages may be indexed by search engines. This covers:

The following are neither searchable nor indexed: athlete profiles, which remain reachable only by those who receive the direct link; matches between teams that do not belong to a published tournament, including friendlies and private games; events joined by QR code; communities and content restricted to participants.

Anyone organising a match or publishing a tournament therefore makes that information available to an indeterminate audience, not only to the people they send the link to.

Minors on the web. Outside the app we protect people under 18. On Playerz web pages and in the previews that appear when a link is shared (for example on WhatsApp) we never show the name, photo, ratings or comments of:

For youth matches only the teams, the score and the standings remain visible. The public profile of a minor is a page that only says "Private profile", and a minor's MVP card has no web page. Pages about minors are not indexed by search engines, don't appear in the site search and are not in the sitemap.

Inside the app, a minor's cards and report cards can only be shared by the minor.

A profile without a date of birth (profiles created before we asked for it) is treated as an adult's, unless the person plays in a youth tournament. To fix this, add your date of birth to your profile.

Sharing "Skills" clips outside Playerz. The video of a "Skills" clip can be shared outside the app only by the athlete the clip is attributed to. In that case the app prepares, on the device, a copy of the video with the Playerz logo and hands it to the device's sharing feature, towards the app chosen by the user (for example WhatsApp or Instagram). Other users can share only a preview image of the clip and its link.

Anything shared outside Playerz, including videos and preview images, is subject to the terms and privacy notices of the destination service and is no longer under Playerz's control: removing the clip, deleting the account or a moderation measure does not delete copies already shared.

Before publishing or sharing content, consider that other recipients could copy or share it outside Playerz.

7. Providers and recipients

Playerz does not sell personal data. Data may be disclosed, to the extent necessary, to:

Providers processing data on behalf of Playerz act, where applicable, as processors under agreements compliant with Article 28 GDPR. Some providers may act as independent controllers for specific processing described in their own notices.

8. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some providers, including Google, OpenAI, Resend and Cloudflare, may process data in the United States or in other countries outside the European Economic Area. In particular, Firebase Authentication may process data in the United States, while other Firebase services use global infrastructure or the locations configured by the controller.

Where required, transfers take place on the basis of an applicable adequacy decision, including valid certifications under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or by means of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission together with appropriate supplementary measures.

For information about the applicable safeguards, or to obtain a copy of them, you may contact the controller at the address indicated in section 1.

9. Data retention

Data is retained for as long as necessary for the purposes indicated and, thereafter, to comply with legal obligations or defend legal claims. In particular:

The actual criteria and periods are reviewed periodically in accordance with the principles of data minimisation and storage limitation.

10. Account deletion

You can start deletion from the More > Delete account section of the app or follow the instructions available at: https://playplayerz.app/account-deletion.

Alternatively, you can contact the privacy email address indicated in section 1. To protect the account, Playerz may require proportionate verification of the requester's identity.

On deletion:

For cards (players without an account) see section 14-bis: deletion is requested at [email protected] quoting the card code.

11. Your rights

In the cases provided for by the GDPR, you may:

To exercise your rights you can write to the privacy email address indicated in section 1. The controller will reply, as a rule, within one month, subject to extensions permitted by the GDPR for particularly complex or numerous requests.

12. Minors

You must be at least 16 to create a Playerz account. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and check it again on our server. If you are under 16 you can't sign up, neither from the app nor from our web pages, and you can't take a card.

In Italy the law (Art. 2-quinquies of the Privacy Code) lets people aged 14 and over consent to online services on their own. We chose a higher limit, 16, because Playerz shows ratings and comments about people.

If you are between 16 and 18 you can use Playerz like everyone else, but outside the app we protect you more (section 6, "Minors on the web"): your name, photo and ratings don't appear on web pages or in link previews, and only you can share your cards.

You have the same rights as adults (section 11), and you can use them on your own: write to [email protected]. You can also ask us to remove content about you because of cyberbullying (section 12-ter).

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, or that Playerz holds a minor's data entered against these rules, we immediately limit its visibility and delete it. You can tell us at the privacy email address indicated in section 1.

12-ter. Cyberbullying: reporting and removal

If something on Playerz offends you, mocks you or targets you (a comment, a rating given out of spite, a photo, a message, the label of a card), you can ask us to remove it.

How.

If you are at least 14 you can do it on your own; otherwise a parent or guardian can. This is the right granted by Italian Law 71/2017 on cyberbullying.

How fast.

If we don't, you can turn to the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante, www.garanteprivacy.it), which decides within 48 hours.

We may also suspend or close the account of whoever posted the content (Terms of Service, section 7).

13. Security and data breaches

Playerz adopts technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risks, including authentication, database and file access rules, server-side checks, privilege limitation, API protection, logging and deletion procedures.

No system can guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach, the controller will apply the procedures set out in Articles 33 and 34 GDPR, including, where necessary, notification to the supervisory authority and communication to the data subjects.

14. Data obtained from other people

Some data may be entered by organisers, team managers or other users, for example a name in a roster, participation in an event, results, ratings, photos or shared content. In such cases the data subject may request information, rectification, restriction or erasure by contacting the controller.

Users who enter data relating to other people must be authorised to do so and must provide them with the necessary information about the processing.

14-bis. Players without an account ("cards")

Whoever organises a match or belongs to a team can add to the line-up a person who played but has no Playerz account. In the app this entry is called a card ("figurina").

What data. A card contains:

Even without a name, people who were there can recognise the person: that's why we treat this data as personal data.

Why. To complete the line-up and the report cards even when someone isn't on Playerz yet, and to let the person find their ratings if they decide to sign up. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the match participants in a complete record of it, and of the person in finding it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), with the safeguards below.

Where it comes from. From the users who created the card and those who rated it, not from the person concerned (Art. 14 GDPR).

Who sees it.

How long it stays. A card the person doesn't take is deleted automatically, with its ratings and comments:

The personal link expires after 30 days.

What the person concerned can do.

Even without the link, the person concerned can exercise the rights in section 11 (access, rectification, erasure, objection) by writing to [email protected] and naming the match. Once we have identified them with reasonable certainty, we will delete the card or restrict its processing.

Minors. A card may be about a young person, for example in a youth tournament. That's why, outside the app, cards in youth tournaments show nothing about the person, and people under 16 can't take one. If the person or a parent asks, we delete it.

Whoever creates a card agrees not to write in the label names, nicknames or other details that would make the person recognisable to people who weren't there, and to tell them, when possible, that they have been added.

15. Changes to this notice

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Service, to its providers or to the law. The updated version will be published with the new update date.

Where a change has a material impact on processing, Playerz will give notice in the app or through another appropriate channel and, if necessary, will collect new consent.
